Nancy and Bob, I am lifting you in prayer as you grieve the death of Esther. It doesn't matter how many years she lived it is very difficult to have a parent die. God's peace and blessings today and in the days ahead.

To Esther's family; what a beautiful picture tribute! I can see the lovely young woman she was. I can also see the future life that Jesus promised her and others like her. Whether she reigns in heaven with Jesus or is resurrected as one of the meek that will inherit hearth, her future life is guaranteed by Jesus, himself. I pray this hope brings you comfort. Sally

We express our sympathy to your family. She is in a better place now and has been ready for along time. Had many great conversations with Esther when she was still able to stitch all those dish towels. Gloria and Dean

Nancy and Bob, You have my sympathies because the death of someone you love is never easy ~ but yet I know you were as ready to let her go as anyone can be, and that Esther was ready to join her son, husband, siblings, and parents in the great Beyond. Esther was one of a kind ~ a special lady, a free spirit who said what she thought (I love those kind of people!). She and my dad Dr. Bert Kolp had a great comaraderie when both worked at the Glenwood Hospital. I remember hearing about how much he enjoyed working with her ~ They exchanged many jokes (some off color I am sure!). I am so happy for her, as she left "on her terms" and was at peace with leaving this world and onto the next. When I served as chaplain of GRV I got to know her and enjoyed her very much. She was a "class act" and will be missed.

Nancy, I am so sorry to hear about your Mother's passing. I did enjoy taking care of her when I was working at GRV . Some of her little "comments" would bring a smile to my face when the day wasn't going so great. I always enjoyed chuckling with her when I would put on her lipstick, " You're doing all right, better than most." Esther will be missed. Prayers to you and your family at this time.
