Kenneth J. Kruger, age 58 of Villard, died unexpectedly Friday, November 3, 2017 at home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 6th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove Lake. Visitation will be Sunday, November 5th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home of Glenwood.

Kenneth James Kruger, son of Harold and Leona (Rosenau) Kruger, was born on October 27, 1959, in Glenwood, Minnesota. He grew up on the family farm near Villard with his three brothers, Larry, Neil, and Fred. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove Lake and a 1976 graduate of Glenwood High School. Ken married Cynthia Frederick in 1984. They were blessed with two sons, Nicholas and Anthony. The couple later divorced.

Ken resided on the family farm near Villard and for the past ten plus years, was employed as a truck driver for Cardinal Logistics in Sauk Centre. He enjoyed farming, reading, football, fishing, golf, motorcycles, and hunting.

Even though Ken enjoyed chasing his passions, he always put family first and let them know they were the most important thing to him. They will miss his crazy laugh and silly sense of humor.

Ken is survived by his mother, Leona Kruger, of Villard; son, Nicholas Harold (fiancé, Marisa Downs and her son, Asher) of Glenwood and son, Anthony Richard Kruger of St. Cloud; a brother, Larry Kruger of Sauk Centre; a sister-in-law, Pat Kruger of Florida; well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Kruger in 1982; two brothers, Neil and Fred; paternal grandparents, George and Marvel Kruger, and maternal grandparents, Jon and Mayne Rosenau.
