Robert "Bob" B. Kvitek

Robert "Bob" Kvitek, age 71 of Glenwood, died Monday, June 10, 2013 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 13th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glenwood with Father Michael Wolfbauer officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Inurnment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Glenwood.  Arrangements are with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.  

Robert "Bob" Kvitek the son of Robert Sr. and Elvina (Moe) Kvitek was born August 13, 1941 in Glenwood, Minnesota.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and graduated from Glenwood High School.  Bob entered the United States Air Force in 1959.  He served his country and was honorably discharged in 1963.  

After he was discharged, Bob moved back to Glenwood and started working with his father as a milk truck driver.  He eventually began working for American Solutions for Business in Glenwood and was employed there as a truck driver for 25 years.    

On June 2, 1962, Bob was united in marriage to Emily Vives at San Rafael Church in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico.  The couple made their home in Glenwood.  Bob was a member of the Glenwood Knights of Columbus, the American Legion and the Turkey Federation.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Vikings play football and feeding and watching birds.  He will be remembered for being very friendly, enjoying the outdoors, his corn feeds, and the love for his family and friends.  Bob passed away on June 10, 2013 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota.  

Bob is survived by his wife of 51 years, Emily Kvitek of Glenwood; sister, Myrtle Prchal of Alexandria; sisters-in-law: Mina Jordan, Noelia Vives, Roxanne Kvitek and Rafy Vives; brothers-in-law, Eugene Tvrdik and Jose Vives; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elvina Kvitek; sisters, Leona Tvrdik and Ruby Kellermann; brothers, Raynold Kvitek and a brother in infancy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
