Her father Jim, was a farmer, veterinarian, and sheep shearer. She was a twin and part of a large and loving family of 12 brothers and sisters.  Of the 13 children of Jim and Olive, only 3 are yet living.

Delores grew up in the Pope County area, attending schools in Grove Lake, Terrace, and Sedan.

She married Fritz Koob on November 23, 1943, and they resided in Sedan. They had 4 boys.   Her husband Fritz, died in November, 1965.

After her marriage she helped occasionally at the Sedan telephone switchboard which was operated by her mother. Fritz and Delores owned and operated the Standard Oil business in Sedan and later the local school bus line. In the spring of 2005, due to health concerns, Delores moved to St. Benedicts Assisted Living Center in St. Cloud, and then later to the Ridgeview Center in Sauk Rapids.

I have many great memories of Delores. First from Sedan as a small child and as an adult playing cards at Glenwood Manor. My sympathy to all of you. May all the great moments keep you during this time.
