Bruce Donald Lawrence

Bruce Donald Lawrence, age 92 of Mequon, Wisconsin, died January 9, 2018, one day short of his 93rd birthday, under the care of Serenity Hospice Care in Mequon. No public services were held. Private inurnment will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, Minnesota, in the spring of 2018.

Bruce was born in Moose Lake, Minnesota, on January 10, 1925, to Matthew J. and Ruth M. (Carter) Lawrence. He was a 1942 graduate of Glenwood High School in Glenwood, Minnesota. In 1943, Bruce entered the U.S. Navy, serving until his honorable discharge in 1946. In 1947, he moved to Wisconsin, where he has since resided. On October 9, 1953, Bruce was united in marriage to Marilyn K. Serkowski in Milwaukee. He worked as an engineer for Independent Telephone Companies doing cost study reviews until his retirement.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marilyn, also of Mequon. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, three sisters, a half-brother, and one brother in infancy.
