Colleen J. Voerding, age 67 of Glenwood, died Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the St. Cloud Hospital. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 10th at the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood with Rev. Krista Lee officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in the Glenwood Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.
Colleen Joy Voerding the daughter of Gilbert and Ruth (Kvilhaug) Voerding, was born February 25, 1951 in Glenwood. She grew up in Glenwood and attended Glenwood Lutheran Church and Glenwood High School, graduating with the Class of 1969. After high school, she furthered her education at Alexandria Technical Institute and graduated with a degree in accounting. Colleen was employed at Healthland in Glenwood for over 20 years until her retirement in 2013.
Colleen enjoyed cooking, collecting, and photography. She loved baseball, especially the Minnesota Twins.
She is survived by her brother, Craig (Patricia) Voerding of St. Francis, MN; nephews, Nathan, Colin (Mary) and Jacob (Amy Jo) Voerding; great-nieces and great-nephews; other relatives and friends.
Colleen is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gary and Byron; niece, Stacy Voerding and nephew, Philip Voerding.
