Harold was a member of the American Legion in both Iowa and Glenwood and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He enjoyed gardening, raising both vegetables and beautiful gladioluses that decorated Sacred Heart. He enjoyed fishing and being on the lake in a boat along with sitting relaxing on his porch swing in the evening. Harold enjoyed listening to and dancing with Shirley to polka music. He will be remembered as a strong man,  physically and spiritually. He was an excellent, wonderful father and     loving and caring husband.  Harold loved his life he chose; he was a good farmer and livestock man. He could fix anything broken with whatever his strong hands could find and mend any creature hurt. If given a seed he could make it grow and flourish into the most beautiful crop. He was a true, honest man of God. Harold finally got to meet his God on February 9, 2018.
