Abner Franklin Ogdahl, the son of Anton and Theolina (Dalager) Ogdahl was born on June 22, 1914 in Pope County, Minnesota.  He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith.  He grew up on farms south of Glenwood and near Hanska, Minnesota.  Abner's father died when Abner was still a teenager, making him as the oldest son---the "man" of the family.  He worked with his mother running the farm south of Glenwood. On June 14, 1941, Abner married Agnes Barsness and shortly after bought their own farm also south of Glenwood.  The couple had one daughter, Linda, who died at one day old.  They then adopted a daughter, Peg who completed their family.  They lived on the farm until Abner retired in 1980 and moved to a new home in Glenwood.  In 2005, after Agnes passed away, Abner moved to Ridgewood Villa apartments in Glenwood where he lived until his last weeks in the Evansville Care Center. Abner was a hard working farmer, careful with everything in his care and never said anything bad about others. Abner was loved by many and "liked" by a whole lot more. He is survived by his brothers Clifford (Millie) and Julian (Dolly),his sister-in-law Eleanor and one brother-in-law Lanny (Jennifer) Barsness all of Glenwood; his son-in-law, Michael  (Ginny) Loken of Garfield; three grandchildren, Heather (Chad) Eggert of Amery, Wi., David Loken of Manhattan Beach, MN, and James (Julie) Loken of Garfield,  four step-granddaughters, and nine great grandchildren. Abner was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Agnes (2005), his daughters, Linda and Peg; one brother, Lester, and his sisters Thelma, Gladys and Norma.
