Andrew Estby, age 68, of Brooten, MN, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at his residence.  Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, October 28 ^th , at Hope Lutheran Church, Sunburg, MN, with Rev. Ron Knutson officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home in Brooten and will resume on Wednesday at the church, one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be in Sunburg Free Lutheran Cemetery, Sunburg.  Arrangements are with Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home of Brooten.

Andrew Thilman Estby, son of Bernhardt "Benny" and Mayrene (Paulson) Estby, was born on August 10, 1947, in Glenwood, MN.  He grew up on a farm in Gilchrist Township, where he and his family were members of Sunburg Free Lutheran Church.  Andrew attended school in Brooten and graduated from Brooten High School in 1965.  Over the years he worked as a well driller, salesman and in the commercial bait industry.

Andrew was united in marriage to Beverly Torgerson in 1968.  To this union two sons were born, Everett and Preston. In 1979, he was united in marriage to Patricia Schroeder at Bread of Life Church in Minneapolis, MN.  To that union a daughter, Sasha, was born.  Andrew and Patricia made their home in Brooten.

Andrew enjoyed fishing, hunting and birdwatching.  Blessed be his memory.

Andrew is survived by his sons, Everett Estby of Minneapolis, MN, and Preston Estby of New London, MN; his daughter, Sasha Estby of Brooten, MN; four grandchildren, Heather, Wyett and Raven Estby and Kai Dewald; three sisters, Margaret Locke, Beverly Whales, and Dorothy Wood; brothers, Jarnell Estby, Obert Estby, and Charles Estby.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benny and Mayrene Estby; his sister, Betty Lou Lacktorin; and his brother, Wayne Estby.
