Beulah Augusta Clapshaw, the daughter of Lester H. Vadner and Alma C. Vadner (Coulter), was born on March 21, 1933 in Maple Lake Township, Wright County, MN. Beulah was baptized on July 7, 1935 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Buffalo MN. She married Ervin Boehlke August 19, 1951 in Howard Lake, MN, and they resided in Alexandria, MN. She raised her children near Lake Darling and later on a hobby farm. After many years her marriage to Ervin ended and on May 17th, 1969, Beulah (Bea) married James Clapshaw and resided in Mound, MN. There she worked at Tonka Toys for ten years. Bea and Jim were very active, fishing and camping most weekends during the summer. After the death of Jim, Bea went on to become a registered nurse and worked at Colonial Acres in Golden Valley, MN, for over 10 years. Upon retirement, Bea made her home in Villard, MN, near Lake Amelia. There she was active with her church Saint John's Lutheran, taking on many leadership positions as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. Bea enjoyed socializing with friends; she was active in two birthday clubs, the local Red Hat Club, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Bea is survived by her daughter, Ruth (Tom) Tesch of Maple Grove, MN, and son, Timothy Boehlke of Villard; grandchildren: Andrew Tesch (Dina), Katie (Tom) Kern, Suzanne (Wendell) Hiller, Matthew Boehlke, Nicholas (Jamie) Boehlke, Neil (Megan) Boehlke, 6 great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces; sisters, Evelyn Austvold-Johnson of Willmar, Kathleen Anderson of Alexandria, and brother, Walter (Lois) Vadner of Andover, MN.

Bea is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sons Dean and Mark Boehlke, brothers: Dale, John, Douglas, Russell, and Kermit Vadner.

Bea will be remembered for her caring and friendly personality. She enjoyed her friends and family, always going out of her way to help a friend or a relative in times of need. Bea always enjoyed the company of a dog, she usually had small dogs, however she welcomed Buddy a large black lab who she had the past few years, and they were good pals. Bea loved the lake and was an excellent fisherwoman; she cleaned and cooked many fish. She will be remembered for her friendly smile, positive outlook on life, and her faith in the Lord.
