Bradley R. Olson, age 62 of Villard, died Sunday, December 11, 2016 at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 17 ^th at St. John's Lutheran Church in Villard with Pastor Philip Beyersdorf officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Arrangements are with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.

Bradley Robert Olson, the son of Robert and Rosalie (Reigstad) Olson was born September 18, 1954 in Willmar, Minnesota.  He grew up on a farm near Sunburg and attended Hope Lutheran Church.  He attended school at Sunburg Elementary and graduated from Kerkhoven-Sunburg High School.  Brad was employed at Gierke Farms in Westport, Minnesota until he had to retire due to his health.  He was the site manager at the hog barn and really enjoyed his job.

On April 6, 1974, Brad was united in marriage to Jan Swanson at Kerkhoven Lutheran Church.   The couple made their home in Villard and were blessed with three children: Matthew, Thomas and Amanda.

Brad enjoyed fishing and driving around with his two dogs checking on the fields and crops.  He especially loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and family.  Brad passed away, December 11, 2016 at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood following a courageous battle with cancer.

He is survived by his mom, Rosalie Johnson of Willmar; wife, Jan Olson of Villard; sons, Matthew (Joan) Olson of Glenwood and Thomas (Christian) Olson of Fort Worth, TX; daughter, Amanda (Josh) Kath of Glenwood; grandchildren: Nathan Springer, Mackenzie Martin, Cade Olson, Bode Olson, Addyson, Caleb, Bryce and Drew Bradley Kath; sisters: Mari Jo (Doug) Foote of Browerville, MN, Barb (Dale) Erickson of Kerkhoven, MN, Pamela (Bob) Giese of Willmar, MN, and Kristine (Curt) Frey of Shakopee, MN; brother, Kevin (Patsy) Olson of Montevideo, MN; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Brad was preceded in death by his father, Robert Olson, and one brother, Brian Olson.
