Byron Stauber, age 60 of Minnetonka, son of Eugene (and the late Mary) Stauber of Glenwood, formerly of Minnetonka, died Sunday, November 28, 2021 at the Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 6th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glenwood. Visitation will be Sunday, December 5th from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Glenwood and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Glenwood. Arrangements are with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.

Byron Scott St. Joseph Stauber was the eldest child of Eugene and Mary (Pederson) Stauber.  He blessed them with his birth on May 21, 1961 in Minneapolis, MN. Byron was soon followed by his four siblings, Elizabeth, Eugene, James and Anne, all whom he loved. Byron was raised in Richfield and Minnetonka; he graduated from Minnetonka High School in 1979.  In 1983, Byron met Susan Falk and they married on February 15, 1984 in Sioux Falls, SD. After earning a Bachelor's degree in accounting, and passing the CPA exam, Byron began his life's work, eventually opening his own firm in the Twin Cities.

Byron loved spending time in Florida, walking on the beach for hours and reading countless books. He will be remembered for his brilliance, his sense of humor and his dedication to his family and friends.

Byron rejoined his beloved mother Mary Helen on Sunday November 28th, 2021, when he passed away at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park following a brief illness.

Byron is survived by his wife, Susan of Edina; their four children, Josef (Allison) of Minnetonka, Alexandra (Ryan) Wagner of Edina, Kathryn of Hopkins, and George of Minneapolis; six grandchildren, Mitchell, Colin, Heidi, Emma, Marlin, Dante`; his father, Eugene Stauber of Glenwood; his four siblings, Elizabeth Stauber of Glenwood, Eugene (Jennifer) Stauber of Cokato, Jim Stauber of Minnetonka, and Anne (Richard) Almquist of Parkers Prairie; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Helen Stauber in 2013.
