Deborah Majerus, age 72 of Glenwood, died Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood. A celebration of life will be held on April 11, 2026 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at The Sandbar in Pisek, North Dakota. Arrangements are with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.

Deborah L. Majerus was born on June 15, 1953, in Jamestown, North Dakota. The eldest of six siblings, Deborah was the daughter of Grant and A. Carol (Dancer) Baker. She grew up in school and attended school, graduating from Harvey, North Dakota. With a passion for helping others, Deborah pursued a degree in nursing from Northland College in East Grand Forks. She dedicated five years of service to Unity Medical Center in Grafton, North Dakota, before working as a homecare and hospice coordinator. In this capacity, Deborah touched countless lives with her compassion and expertise, providing comfort and care to those in their final days.

On April 15, 1983, Deb was united in marriage to Joseph Majerus in Harvey, North Dakota. Deb and Joe made their home in Fordville, North Dakota until 2012 when they moved to Glenwood. After moving to Glenwood, Deb worked for a short time at the Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

Deborah is survived by her husband, Joe Majerus of Glenwood; her loving children, Ian Majerus and Jennifer Sobolik; her adored grandchildren, Danielle, Molly and Jordan; sister, Sheila Klein; her brothers, Russ, Nathan, Garth, and Grant Baker; as well as her step-children and step-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive her.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Brenda Snyder.
