Delores Ann Blair, "Dell" to everyone who knew her, went in peace to join the Lord on November 19, 2014.
Delores Ann Edmunds was born on April 22, 1923 in Starbuck, MN to Anna (Erickson) and Walter Edmunds. On July 8, 1945, she married William P Blair ("Bill"). They had one beautiful daughter, Beth Marie, who brought great joy to their family. She was an amazing grandmother. She helped shape the lives of her grandchildren in so many ways every day of her life.
Throughout her life she was active in her community of Glenwood and would tell stories of pulling pranks on her older brothers and sisters, candy-striping and working as a nurse's aide at the Glenwood Hospital, riding horses and caring for countless animals. Later in life she fell in love with Scotties and became known for her collection inspired by her two "Maggies". Bill and Dell loved to camp and traveled all across the US and Canada visiting friends and family in their camper.
Dell was a member of the Glenwood United Methodist Parish, Jaycees and the Church Circle. She had a large and long-lasting circle of friends including her Card Club that played together weekly. She also shared her creativity through many crafts including wonderful quilts, clothes, canvases and a memorable collection of favorite recipes, "Everything Tastes Better With Butter". Dell was an incredible cook who delighted friends and family alike with her cookies, meatballs, lefse and her famous coconut cake.
Dell is preceded in death by her husband, Bill, her beloved only daughter, Beth Lieffort, and as she put it, "almost everyone else she knew." She leaves her legacy of love and a stubbornly optimistic spirit to her family: Amaza Reitmeier, her husband Wade and their sons Mason and Grady; Seth Lieffort, his wife Becky and their children Ben and Maleah; Elizabeth Lieffort, her youngest grandchild; Cyndi Evans, her husband John and their son Matthew, and many nieces and nephews.
Dell lived by the words that you could find hanging on the wall in her family room: "Live Well ~ Laugh Often ~ Love Much"
