Diana Cihlar, age 66, of St. Cloud passed away Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Foley Nursing Home in Foley.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 10th, at 11:30 a.m. at the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Brooten.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Brooten.

Diana Kay Cihlar, the daughter of Richard and Jeanette (Estenson) Halvorson was born July 23, 1950 in Glenwood.  Diana grew up in Alexandria and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1969.  She furthered her education and graduated from Alexandria Technical College in 1971.

On January 28, 1972, Diana was united in marriage to Thomas Cihlar at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alexandria.  Diana was employed at Fingerhut Corporation for many years.  She loved visiting with family and friends and working in her flower garden. When Diana needed help with her daily care due to Alzheimer's she moved into the Legends of Sartell and later the Foley Nursing Home.  She passed away there on June 5, 2017.

Diana is survived by her husband, Thomas of St. Cloud; sons, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Cihlar of Elk River and Marc (Meggan) Cihlar of Sartell; grandsons: Benjamin, Olin, Brandon and Otto; and a sister, Nancy (Steve) Alto of Blackduck, MN.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Jeanette Halvorson; aunt, Phyllis Halvorson; and her husband's parents, Joseph and Gladys Cihlar.
