Obituary

Eileen Guderian, age 84 of Lowry, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 14th at Norunga Lutheran Church in rural Lowry with Pastor Joe Skogmo officiating.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.  Arrangements are with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood. Eileen Lavonne (Moline) Guderian, the daughter of Wallace Moline and Fern (Early) Moline, was born on November 18, 1929 in Webster City, Iowa. She grew up on a farm southwest of Clare, Iowa and went on to graduate from high school in Gilmore City. She met her husband, Harold Guderian at Gilmore City Lutheran Church and they were united in marriage on March 6, 1949 in Gilmore City, Iowa. They first settled on a farm west of Gilmore City. They moved 5 times before making their home on a farm outside of Lowry, Minnesota where they lived for 55 years together. Eileen was active at church. She enjoyed quilting, working with ceramics, doing crossword puzzles, going to the casino, playing piano, and spending time with friends and family.  Eileen will be remembered for her work with the church, her dedication to and love for her family and friends, and, of course, for the magic she could work in the kitchen. Eileen is survived by her husband Harold, sister, Pat (Bob) Swanson, brother, Richard (Donna) Moline, and children Debbie Watson, Randy (Vicky) Guderian, Gary (Krista) Guderian, Jeff Guderian, Tracy (Cindy) Guderian, and Jodi (Archie) Bignell; and daughter-in-law, Marge Guderian.  She is also survived by grandchildren Lisa Guderian, Lori (Kyle) Anderson, Melissa Wittnebel, Jill (Chris) Moore, Ben Guderian, Joanie Guderian, Abby Guderian, Adam (Kristin) Guderian, Andrew (Erin) Guderian, Jamie Guderian, Hannah Guderian, Dani Guderian, Rick Guderian, Bryan Kne, Amber Bignell, Stacey Bignell, and 10 great grandchildren with more on the way. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace Moline and Fern (Early) Moline, a son, Dennis Guderian and son-in-law, Paul Watson.
