Elnora C. Larson, age 87 of Starbuck, died Sunday, September 14, 2014 at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 17th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glenwood with Father Michael Wolfbauer officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Glenwood.  Arrangements are with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood. Elnora Weber was born in Harrold, SD, on February 11, 1927, to Gregory and Bertha (Geraths) Weber.  After graduating from Harrold High School, Elnora went on to become a school teacher.  She taught in rural South Dakota for 2 years. On May 26, 1948, in Highmore, SD, Elnora was united in marriage to Alvin Larson of Holabird, SD.  The couple farmed in Loomis Twp., SD for 8 years before moving to Minnesota and finally settling down on a farm near Starbuck, MN.  There they raised their four children.  Elnora was active in helping around the farm and was also well-known for her great crocheting abilities, making many beautiful doilies and afghans for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Elnora loved genealogy, spending hours researching and was able to trace her family back to before the year 1000. Elnora is survived by her husband of 66 years, Alvin Larson of Starbuck; their four children, David Larson of Bozeman, MT, Richard (Sandy) Larson of Starbuck, Marlys (Ron) Parrish of Fargo, ND, and Ronald (Linda) Larson of Fort Collins, CO; her 2 brothers, Marvin (Mary Anne) Weber of Charolette, ND, and LaVerne (Beth Moeller) Weber of LaFayette, CA; and 2 sisters, Darlene Heying of Winner, SD, and Leona Hamlin of Highmore, SD; 13 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Andrew Larson.
