Evelyn Robideaux, age 77 of Villard, died Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the Glenwood Retirement Village in Glenwood.  A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 19 ^th , at 2:00 pm., at Villard United Methodist Church in Villard.  Visitation will be at the church from noon until the time of the service on Saturday.  Inurnment will be in Lake Leven Cemetery in Villard.  Arrangements are with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.

Evelyn Hazel Walther, daughter of John and Sophie (Wolf) Walther, was born on August 30, 1938, in Westport, MN.  She grew up on a farm near Westport and attended school in Westport before graduating from Villard High School in 1956 as the Salutatorian.  On June 14, 1958, Evelyn was united in marriage to Donald Robideaux at St. John's Lutheran in Villard.  The two made their home on a farm near Villard and their marriage was blessed with four children.

Evelyn did daycare in the family home for years before starting Gingerbread Inn Day Care in Villard.  She also worked at Villard Elementary as a cook, and she never missed a high school sporting event that her children were participating in.  Evelyn was a longtime member of the Villard United Methodist Church, where she was active in the women's group.  She also belonged to the Red Hat Ladies and a homemakers group.

In 2012, Evelyn and Donald moved to Parkview Court.  She passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at Glenwood Retirement Village, having lived to the age of 77 years.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Donald Robideaux of Glenwood; a son, Mark, of Brainerd; three daughters, Julie (Doug Brackin) Robideaux Springer of Forada, Joann (Dan) Tauber of Villard, Nancy (Rob) Ahlfors of Villard, and an adopted son, Steven David Robideaux of St. Paul; 13 grandchildren, Stacy, Gerald, Kenneth, and Brenden Springer, Jacob, Luke and Jamie Robideaux, Molly Koop, Kelly Humphry, Sara Goellner, Allan Ahlfors, Melissa Oeltjen, and Brendy Rose Robideaux; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marion Walker, Verna (Loren) Kaeding, and Rose Campau; a brother, Raymond (Diane) Walther; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Sophie Walther; two nephews, Larry Walker and Allen Walker; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Robideaux; and two brothers-in-law, Joe Campau and Charles Walker.
