Gary Alan Fjoslien, age 68, of Glenwood, died on October 31, 2018 in the Mission Nursing Home in Plymouth, MN. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 14th at the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Chapel in Glenwood with Rev. Krista Lee officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in the Glenwood Lutheran Cemetery.

Gary Alan Fjoslien was born in the Glenwood Hospital on September 16, 1950. He was the son of Aloys G. and Maurine V. (Hovren) Fjoslien. Gary was baptized and confirmed at the Glenwood Lutheran Church. He grew up in Glenwood where he attended elementary school and graduated from Glenwood High School in 1968. Gary attended Willmar Technical College. He worked at the Curtis Hotel in Minneapolis for a time before, returning to Glenwood, where he began his career at Glenwood Implement. He enjoyed his working years; especially the farmers and employees.

Gary was always a friendly and outgoing person. He like people and enjoyed socializing with them. He considered many people his friend. In his younger days, he did a lot of bowling and golf. He was active in Jaycees for a number of years. Gary was always interested in all types of sports and spent lots of time watching them. He also had a special interest in his great nephews and niece.

He is survived by his sister, Sandy (Jim) Nelson of Glenwood; nephews, Greg (Michelle) Nelson of Brownwood, TX, and Doug Nelson of Mankato, MN; niece, Kate (Kevin) Kramer of Chaska, MN; great-nephews, Caleb and Tyler Nelson and Cale Kramer; and great-niece, Morgan Kramer.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Maurine; and niece, Jillian Nelson.

He will be missed by his family and friends.
