Jacqueline M. Williams, age 88 of rural Villard, died, Saturday, February 22, 2014 at her home under the care of hospice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 28th at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Villard with Father Michael Wolfbauer officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, Feb. 27th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Villard. Arrangements are with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.
Jacqueline Maria Williams, the daughter of Jacob and Mabel (Judkins) Frederick was born April 14, 1925 in Westport, MN. She grew up near Westport, attended school in Villard, graduating salutatorian from Villard High School. She was a member of St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Villard. After High school Jacky moved to Oregon for a short time and then Baudette, MN, before moving back to Westport.
On May 11, 1950, Jacky was united in marriage to Frank Williams at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church. Jacky and Frank made their home on a farm near Westport. This marriage was blessed with four children.
Jacky was a dedicated homemaker, mother and farm wife. She also was employed at the Credit Union in Alexandria and helped Edith Skurat prepare taxes in Villard for many years. She was a member of the Christian Mothers at St. Bartholomew's. Jacky will be remembered for her laughter, joyous spirit and caring attitude. She enjoyed bird watching, going to casinos, sudoku puzzles, and visiting with family, friends and neighbors that stopped by. Jacky especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She passed away at home, under the care of hospice on February 22, 2014.
Jacky is survived by her children: Rick (Denise) Williams of Lebanon, TN, Naomi (Rick) Hatfield of Rapid City, SD and Paul (Loretta) Williams of Villard, MN; grandchildren, Ryan, Rachel and Josh Kirckof, and Kristofer and Brittany Williams; siblings, Adrian "Babe" (Karen) Frederick of Great Falls, MT and Clinton "Stub" (Adair) Frederick of Why, AZ; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Williams in 2002 and daughter, Maureen Kirckof in 2009.
