James C. Walerius, age 58, of Glenwood, MN, died unexpectedly, at his home, on Wednesday, November 26, 2014.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 1st, at Church of the Sacred Heart in Glenwood, MN.  Visitation will be from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home of Glenwood. James "Jim" Curtis Walerius, 58, the son of Norbert and Catherine Walerius born on January 28, 1956, in Redwood Falls, MN. Jim grew up in Redwood Falls, MN graduating from Redwood Falls High School in 1974.  He went on to attend St. Cloud Business College, graduating with a degree in business management. Jim moved to Glenwood, MN where he met his wife, Jill. They were married in 1982 and had two sons, Ryan and Colin. He worked at Crow River Industries from 1985 until 2006. In 2006 he started and co-owned Precision Products Inc. until 2013 when he sold the business. Jim continued to work at the new company until his death. Jim loved hunting, fishing, gardening, helping others and spending time with his family and friends. Jim lived life to the fullest, had many hobbies and was a great outdoorsman. Jim was very proud of both of his sons, Army Specialist Ryan and Air Force Senior Airman Colin for their military service. Jim Walerius is survived by his loving wife, Jillayne "Jill" Walerius of Glenwood, MN, sons, Ryan (Kelley), Walerius of Elizabethtown, KY, and Colin (Melissa) Walerius of Colorado Springs, CO, his mother, Catherine Walerius of Sartell, MN, his siblings, Mary Nordgren of Clearwater, MN, Carol (Clair) Rice, of Verndale, MN, Jan (Dan) Shaffer of  Seattle, WA, Jeffrey (Colleen) Walerius of Becker, MN, Jo (Larry) Brecht of Glenwood, MN and Meg (John) Smyrski of Enterprise, AL and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Norbert Walerius.
