Julie R. Munsterman, age 51, of Rochester, MN, died Friday, January 10, 2014, at Bethany Home in Alexandria, MN, following a short battle with cancer.  A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, January 16th at 11 A.M. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Glenwood, MN.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood and will resume on Thursday at the church, one hour prior to the service.  Inurnment will be in Grove Lake Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are with Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home of Glenwood. Julie Rae Munsterman the daughter of Jerry and Vonnie Munsterman was born on November 21, 1962 in Martin County, Minnesota. She grew up on a farm near Villard and graduated from Glenwood High School.  She furthered her education at Alexandria Technical College in Alexandria with degrees in Accounting and Lab Technician.  After college, Julie worked at several hospitals until she settled in Rochester, Minnesota. Julie was employed at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester for 26 years.  She enjoyed crocheting, traveling, gardening, cooking, music and sewing.  She especially loved spending time with her nephews.  Julie will be remembered as being a wonderful, loving daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. She is survived by her parents Jerry and Vonnie Munsterman of Villard; brothers, Dan (Wendy) Munsterman of Benson and Jason (Sarah Dineen-Munsterman) Munsterman of Villard; nephews, Nathan Munsterman and Benjamin Munsterman; her dear friend, Jane Komidor of Rochester and many other friends.
