Leslie D. Anderson, age 45, of rural Lowry, MN, died Tuesday, October 20, 2015, peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, after having recently been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer.  A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 24 ^th , at Glenwood Lutheran Church in Glenwood, with Pastor Ted Graf of the Lowry Covenant Church and Rev. Dr. Jill Sanders of Marion, Iowa, officiating.  Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home in Glenwood and will continue on Saturday at the church, one hour prior to the service.  Inurnment will take place in the Reno Mission Covenant Cemetery, rural Lowry.  Arrangements are with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home of Glenwood.

Leslie Dawn Carter was born in Glenwood, MN, on November 5, 1969, to William "Bill" and Lillian "Lil" (Voeller) Carter.  Leslie grew up in Glenwood with her 4 sisters.  She graduated from high school in 1988 and then went on to study mechanical drafting and business management at Southwest State in Granite Falls, MN, and Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  After working various jobs in the Cedar Rapids area, Leslie moved back to Glenwood, where she was employed for 9 years at the A & W.  On May 11, 2009, she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart and soulmate, Paul J. Anderson.  The two of them and their children made their home just outside of Lowry.

Leslie enjoyed reading, doing cross-stitch, watching and playing tennis and spending time visiting with and helping family and friends.  She will be remembered for her kindness, easy smile, generous heart, quick-wit and wonderful sense of humor.  Leslie had a way about her that made a person feel like they were her friend, even if she had just met them.  She will be greatly missed.

Leslie is survived by her mother, Lil Carter of Glenwood; her husband, Paul J. Anderson of Lowry; her daughter, Rachael Williams of Lowry; 3 step-sons, Jaysan, Isaiah and Koulten Anderson all of Lowry; 4 sisters, Kay Howard of Tucson, AZ, Judy (Jeff) Fernaays of Waipahu, HI, Holly (Derek Irish) Marshall, of Johnstown, CO, and Barb (Paul) Koubsky of Glenwood; her father and mother-in-law, Archie L. and Nellie (Hussman) Anderson of Lowry; brother-in-law, Darrell (Sue) Anderson of Forrest Lake, MN; sister-in-law, Marcia (Ross Williams) Anderson of Grand Rapids, MN; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, William "Bill" Carter.
