LouAnn Moen, age 57, of Glenwood, MN, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015, at Knute Nelson in Alexandria, MN.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 17th, at Glenwood Lutheran Church, with visitation beginning at 1:00 P.M.  Interment will be in Glenwood Lutheran Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home of Glenwood. LouAnn Renee Moen the daughter of Leonard and Lillian (Simonson) Moen was born July 12, 1957 in Glenwood, Minnesota.  She grew up in Glenwood where she attended school and graduated from Glenwood High School in 1976. LouAnn was employed at the Glenwood Village Care Center in Glenwood for over 20 years.  She was a member of Glenwood Lutheran Church, the Women of Today and the Glenwood Jaycees.  LouAnn was an amazing cook.  She enjoyed shopping, watching movies, watching "Dancing with the Stars", and spending time with her family.  She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She enjoyed many sleepovers with her grandson, Hunter, who she lovingly called "Hunter Boy".  They had a very special bond.    LouAnn will be remembered for being a very giving and caring person.  She would do anything for anyone.  Even through her many struggles in life, she would never complain and would just keep doing the best she could.  She will be truly missed. LouAnn is survived by her son, Christopher (Jessica) Moen of Glenwood; grandchildren, Hunter and Hailey Moen of Glenwood; sisters, Judy (Glen) Henrichs of Morris and Margie Peterson of Wisconsin; brother, Curtis (Angie Schwartz) Moen of Glenwood; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Lillian Moen; brothers, Larry, Leroy and Bruce Moen and sister, Ann Taylor.
