Mary Lou Williams, age 63 of Glenwood, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.  A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10th at the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Chapel in Glenwood with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Arrangements are with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home. Mary Lou Williams, the daughter of William and Marion (Janda) Kovac was born March 20, 1951 in Downers Grove, IL.  She grew up in Downers Grove and attended school at St. Joseph's and graduated from Downers North High School. On December 29, 1979, Mary Lou was united in marriage to Claude Williams in Downers Grove.  They made their home in, Hinsdale, IL, a suburb of Chicago until 2008, when they moved to Glenwood, Minnesota to be near family.  Mary Lou and Claude shared 32 years of marriage before Claude passed away September 9, 2012. Mary Lou enjoyed fishing, crafting, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.  She will be remembered for her time spent with her children and grandchildren, her zest for life and her loving, caring ways. She is survived by her son, Donald (Jessica) Williams of Chicago, IL; daughter, Stephanie Williams (special friend, John Bielenda) of Chicago, IL; step-daughter, Theresa (Gary) Tibbetts of Glenwood, MN; grandchildren: Mikey Schafer, Jack Williams and Shelby Williams; 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Mary Lou is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Claude and a brother. Memorials may be directed to Pope County Hospice in Glenwood.
