She grew up on a farm near Ulen, Minnesota, and attended Atlanta Lutheran Church, where she was baptized and confirmed. She graduated from Ulen High School in 1959.
On January 11, 1964, Maxine was united in marriage to Raymond Iverson in Hennepin County, MN. Maxine and Ray made their home in Robbinsdale and later moved to Brooklyn Park. Maxine enjoyed gardening, crafts, canning and going to thrift shops and garage sales. She was very proud of her Norwegian Heritage and enjoyed lefsa, lutefisk and was especially known for saying "uff-da". Maxine was very thankful she and Ray were able to retire and move to Lake Gilchrist. She enjoyed the lake and her friends and neighbors. Most of all Maxine loved her family. She enjoyed cooking and having everyone home for Thanksgiving, Christmas and other holidays and family occasions. Her grandchildren were very special to her, especially her great-grandson, Ayden.
