Paul Edward Blair, the son of Edward and Eunice (Tweit) Blair was born April 8, 1949 in Glenwood.  He grew up on a farm near Glenwood and attended Glenwood High School, graduating in 1967.  After high school, Paul furthered his education at Alexandria Technical College, graduating with a degree in Business Administration.  After graduation he moved to the twin cities for a year where he worked at Sears.  He moved back to Glenwood where he bought his Grandma Blair's house and began working at the Holiday Inn in Alexandria ; where he later went onto manage.

On December 12, 1970, Paul was united in marriage to the one true love of his life, Roxann Johnson , at Glenwood Lutheran Church.  They made their home in Glenwood until 1981, when they bought a hobby farm in Leven Township, Pope County, Minnesota.  Paul and Roxann were blessed with three children.  The couple shared thirty years of marriage before Roxann passed away, March 9, 2001.

In 1989, Paul started working as the accountant for the Pope County Highway Department; he continued to work there until he retired in April 2014.  He belonged to the Waska Riders Saddle Club and when his children were younger he was active in 4H.  Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising and training horses and other animals, camping, driving around the county and buying and selling things.  He was known to listen to swap shop on a local radio station daily and was always on the hunt for a good deal.  He especially loved and was dedicated to his family.  He will be remembered as a kind man who taught his children and grandchildren, by example, appreciation for life and all of life's blessings, even in tough times.  Paul passed away surrounded by his family at home Friday, December 1 1 , 2015 under the care of hospice.
