Roger R. Logan, age 75 of Lowry, died Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at home under the care of hospice surrounded by his family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 5 ^th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glenwood with Father Joe Vandeberg officiating.  Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00-6:00 pm with parish prayers at 6:00 pm at the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Glenwood. Arrangements are with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.

Roger Raymond Logan Sr., the son of Ernest Logan and Elsie (Burns) Michels was born on April 4, 1941 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. He grew up in Elbow Lake where he attended school.  Later in life, Roger was proud to have earned his GED.

On May 27, 1977, Roger was united in marriage to Joyce Poole at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glenwood. The couple made their home in Lowry, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with seven children. Roger was employed at several places throughout his life, but most recently he worked at Dycast Specialties in Starbuck, Minnesota for 13 years before his retirement.

Roger enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports and bowling.  He especially loved spending time with his family. Roger will be remembered for his caring heart, his hardworking work ethic and his laughter.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Joyce Logan of Lowry; sons, Mike (Deb) Logan of Wolverton, MN, Scott (Barb) Logan of Fergus Falls, James Logan of Alexandria, Roger (Jen) Logan Jr. of Morris, and Lance (Danielle) Logan of Cyrus; daughters, Tammy (Craig) Schwinghamer of Sauk Centre and Lori (Miles) Westergard of Rochester; 13 grandchildren; sisters: Darlene Lillis of Wadena, Marie Logan of Maplewood, Betty (Doug) Dandurand of Granite Falls, Carol (Roger) Torguson of Sunburg, Delores Kvitek of Glenwood, and Ginny Logan of Fergus Falls; brothers: Dean (Ann) Logan of Alexandria, John Logan of Clarkfield, Charles Logan of Morris, Laverne Logan of Kissimee, FL, Dale (Vicky) Logan of Starbuck and Robert (Jean) Logan of Wisconsin Dells, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Logan and Elsie Michels and a brother James Logan.
