Obituary

Trevor S. Pederson, age 37, of Glenwood, MN, died Monday, October 14, 2013, as a result of injuries  sustained in a work-related accident.  Funeral services for Trevor will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 19th, at Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck, MN, with Rev. Paul Johnson officiating.  Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home in Glenwood and will resume at Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck on Saturday beginning at Noon and running until the time of service.  Arrangements are with Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home of Glenwood. Trevor Scott Pederson, son of Becky (Bergquist) Oeltjen and Richard T. Pederson, was born on March 18, 1976, in Alexandria, MN.  He grew up in Starbuck with his four siblings.  Trevor was baptized and confirmed at Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck and attended Starbuck Elementary School.  Trevor was a 1994 graduate of Minnewaska Area High School.  He had been employed off and on at Clyde Machines, Inc. in Glenwood, for 6 years.  He also worked part-time at Wagner Hardware in Glenwood. More than anything else, Trevor loved spending time with his son, Jordan.  He also enjoyed hanging out with friends, fishing, playing cards and on-line poker, throwing darts and watching sports. Trevor had various nicknames including "Primetime, Tredog, Maximo, Stevie and the Reverend".  He will be remembered as kind-hearted and thoughtful, for his dedication to his son, and as a one-of-a-kind guy. Trevor is survived by his son, Jordan Scott Pederson; mother and step-father, Becky and John Oeltjen of Glenwood, MN; his father and step-mother, Richard and Deb Pederson of Minneapolis, MN; 2 sisters, Tricia and Kala Pederson, both of Glenwood, MN; 2 brothers, Trent (Tracy) Pederson of Yorktown, VA, and Troy (Karla Stone) Pederson of Glenwood, MN; nephews and nieces, Austin, Hunter, Bailey, Noah, Zac, Dylan, Peyten, Mariah, Taylor, Breanna and Adrienne; his grandmother, Darlene Bergquist; step-grandmother, Rosella Oeltjen; and 5 step-sisters, Charity (Eric) Baca and Cassidy Zimmerman, both of Minneapolis, Melissa (Coleman) Scott, Heather (Aaron)Zabel and Samantha Oeltjen. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin and Rosalie Pederson, grandfather, Vernon Bergquist, and step-grandfather, Howard Oeltjen.
