Clara Ann Iverson was born on November 14, 1932, in the small town of Clontarf, Minnesota. Clara was the cherished eldest daughter of Charles and Alvena (Bruhn) Razink. Clara's journey led her to Glenwood when her family moved there as she was entering first grade. It was in this community that she laid down roots, flourished, and spent the remainder of her life. Clara graduated from Glenwood High School in 1950.
In 1951, Clara was united in marriage to Arnold Iverson, and together they were blessed with five sons: James, Ronald, Jerry "Jughead," Randy (Iver), and David. Their home was a hub of love, laughter, and the occasional mischief that comes with raising a lively group of boys. Clara and Arnold shared a partnership in both life and business, owning and operating Arnie's Auto Salvage until Arnold's untimely passing in 1977.
Following her graduation, Clara embarked on a career that reflected her caring nature. She started working at the Glenwood Community Hospital as a housekeeper, a role she held for 18 years. She then began working at Glenwood Retirement Home, where she served as a housekeeper and Laundry Director for over two decades before retiring at 62. Even in retirement, Clara's giving spirit shone through as she volunteered, sewing name tags for the residents.
Clara's Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her through joys and challenges alike. She was a dedicated member of the Glenwood Lutheran Church. A woman of many talents and interests, Clara's hands were rarely still. Her embroidery and cross-stitching were not just hobbies but passions that resulted in beautiful blankets and accessories cherished by her family. Clara was an avid reader, often found engrossed in mystery novels, unraveling the threads of suspense page by page. She treasured the annual Bruhn family reunions, where stories of days gone by were shared and laughter echoed. Clara died Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at the Glenwood Retirement Village at the age of 93.
Clara is survived by her sons, Randy (partner Sandra Weber) of Dayton, MN, and David (Becky) of Faribault, MN; her sister Marion Carsten of Glenwood; daughter-in-law Jeanne Iverson of Prior Lake, MN; grandchildren Jesse (Krystle), Shannon, Michael, MacKenzie (Creighton) Soukup, Courtney (Efrain) Lopez, Landon Iverson, and Lance (Becky) Weber; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
