Dianne Molander Obituary

Dianne Molander, age 89 of Perham, formerly Glenwood and Lowry, died July 28, 2025 at the Perham hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025 at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, Lake Reno, in rural Lowry with Father Joe Vandeberg officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.

Dianne “Buckshot” Frances Molander was born on June 6, 1936, in Starbuck, Minnesota. She was the cherished second of four children born to Edward Emerson and Frances (Brosh) Flynn. She grew up in the warm community of Lowry, where she found joy in the simple pleasures of life and developed a deep-rooted faith at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church.

In 1954, Dianne graduated from Glenwood High School. She furthered her education in Willmar, where she graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Dianne's career spanned over four decades at the Minnewaska Lutheran Nursing Home, where she touched countless lives with her compassionate care and unwavering dedication.

In 1957, Dianne welcomed her first daughter, Pennie. Later that year she married Billy Conrad in Washington. The couple settled in Baltimore, Maryland, and welcomed two more children into the world Liz and Jon. Although their paths later diverged, Dianne's resilient spirit guided her back to Lowry. It was there that she was reunited with the love of her life Wallace "Wally" Molander. In 1968, they united in a love that would endure a lifetime. Together, they lived in Lowry and built a home filled with laughter, warmth, and cherished memories.

Dianne's interests were as varied as they were heartfelt. Known affectionately as "Buckshot" by her family and close friends, a nickname lovingly bestowed upon her by her grandpa, she was an avid fisherwoman, enjoyed camping, canning garden produce and crocheting. She especially loved spending time with her family. Dianne was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Starbuck and St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church. After 25 years of marriage, Wally died in 1993 and Dianne later moved into Glenwood where she attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church. To be closer to her daughters and when she needed help with her daily care, Dianne moved into the Frazee Assisted Living in Frazee. She had a stroke last week and passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025 at the Perham Hospital in Perham, Minnesota.

Dianne is survived by her daughters, Pennie (Steve) Pawlitschek and Liz (Scott) Blahosky, both of Perham; her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Tracy (Darren) Oglesby and their children Cason, Cameron, and Kendal; Jessica (Rick) Wiese and their children Haley and Tyler; and Dustin Blahosky; sisters, Darlene Christofferson and Donna Wilson; her brother, Dallas (Mary) Flynn; and nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Preceding her in death were her beloved parents; her husband, Wally Molander; and her son, Jon Conrad.

Dianne's life was a testament to her loving nature, adventurous spirit, and faith-filled heart. She will be profoundly missed, yet her influence will continue to be felt by all who were fortunate enough to have been a part of her journey. Dianne’s story is one of unwavering love, service to others, and the joy found in life's simplest moments. Her memory will be cherished and honored by all who knew her.
