Donna Mae Pischke, a beacon of warmth and selflessness, was born on May 8, 1938, in Echo, MN, Donna was the fifth child of Walter and Tena (Meyer) Pischke. Her early years were spent surrounded by the love and camaraderie of her seven siblings on the family farm in Echo Township, where she also attended school. Donna's senior year brought a move to Glenwood, where she completed her education, graduating from Glenwood High School in 1956.

While still living in Echo, Donna met her future husband, David Schuett. The two were married on February 18, 1958 and spent the next 67 years building their lives together. The majority of those years were spent on the shores of Lake Reno. Being blessed with six children, their home became a hub of family activity and many cherished memories.

Throughout her life, Donna embraced her role as a wife and mother with unparalleled grace and dedication. She was revered as the best mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother anyone could wish for. Her presence was a comforting constant, and her influence shaped the lives of her family in innumerable ways. Donna's love extended beyond her family, touching all who knew her with her friendly demeanor and selfless nature.

Donna's interests were a reflection of her nurturing spirit. She found joy in baking, an art that she shared generously with those around her. She expressed her creativity through sewing and painting and she cherished the tranquility and beauty of nature in her time spent admiring the lake. Donna was also a longtime member of St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lowry.

Those who knew Donna will remember her for her gentle soul and the ease with which she welcomed friends and strangers alike into her heart. Her friendly smile was a source of comfort, and her selfless acts a demonstration of her deep capacity for love. Donna's legacy is not only in the family she raised or the people she touched but also in the example she set of living a life full of kindness, generosity, and grace.

Donna passed away peacefully at home on April 23, 2025. Her legacy is carried on by her devoted husband of 67 years, David, and their loving children: Nancy (Terry) Brown of Starbuck, Mark Schuett of Alexandria, Kelly (Kevin) Petersen of Belgrade, Wayne (Dawn) Schuett of Fergus Falls, and Debbie (Kevin) Dallum of Alexandria. She was the proud grandmother to 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, who will miss her gentle guidance and unconditional love. Donna's memory is also treasured by her sister, Jean Pischke of Alexandria; her brothers, Marvin (Jan Kalina) Pischke of Alexandria and Arden (Donna) Pischke of Onamia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who felt the touch of her kindness throughout their lives.
