Glennice Jo Aaberg, was born on March 19, 1961, in Aurora, CO. Glennice was the cherished fifth child of eight born to Richard "Dick" and Ardis (Ward) Henry. Her early years were filled with the warmth of a large, loving family.

Glennice's journey took her to Mishicot, WI, where she completed her high school education in 1979. Her passion for learning and helping others led her to Bethany College in Mankato, where she earned an associate’s degree in education. It was this love for nurturing growth that would become a hallmark of her life.

On February 9, 1985, Glennice married the love of her life, Clayton Aaberg, in Beaumont, TX. Together, they built a life in Glenwood, MN, where they raised their three sons, Arthur, Ardell, and Arden. Glennice's home was always filled with laughter and love. She blessed her community for years with her good humor and hard work in retail and hospitality, and most recently was a dependable employee at the Grand Stay Hotel and Suites.

A woman of deep Christian faith, Glennice was a longtime member of the Glenwood Lutheran Church. Her commitment to her faith was evident in her daily life and in the way she treated everyone she met with kindness and respect.

Glennice's interests were as varied as they were heartfelt. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, and her hobbies included baking, playing computer games, knitting, crocheting, and sewing. An avid reader, she also enjoyed playing Bingo. But above all, Glennice cherished the time spent with her family. Her smile, her laugh, and the countless birthday cakes she baked will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Despite managing cancer for several years with strength and grace, Glennice’s death was unforeseen. She died peacefully on July 8, 2025 at home.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Clayton; her sons, Arthur (Hannah) of Minneapolis, Ardell of Eagan, and Arden of Glenwood; her three grandchildren, Fiona, Salome, and Timothy; her two sisters, Roxzanne Barsness and Dawn Perry; her three brothers, Richard Henry, Mark (Michelle) Henry, and Keith (Julie) Henry; her mother-in-law, Delores Aaberg; her sisters-in-law, Joyce Hanson, Pam Holder, and Barb (Ken) Jorgenson; her brother-in-law, Dennis Aaberg; and a host of other family members and friends who were touched by her gracious spirit.

Preceding her in death were her beloved parents, Richard and Ardis Henry; her daughter, Aron Aaberg; her brothers, Thomas Kahl and Ted Henry; her father-in-law, Arthur Aaberg; and her brother-in-law, Dean Barsness.

Glennice Jo Aaberg's life was a testament to the power of love and the beauty of a life well lived. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide those she left behind.
