Jerry W. Iverson, age 63, of Glenwood, died at home, unexpectedly, on Sunday, January 27, 2019. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 9th at Glenwood Lutheran Church with Rev. Krista Lee officiating. Inurnment will take place in the spring of 2019 at Glenwood Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home of Glenwood.
Jerry Wayne Iverson, the son of Arnold and Clara (Razink) Iverson was born November 5, 1955 in Glenwood, Minnesota. He grew up there and graduated from Glenwood High School in 1974. Jerry was employed as a truck driver for the waste collection company in Glenwood for many years before working for Gordy Wagner delivering films. He worked for Gordy for 12 years before he retired.
Jerry was a quiet, kind man. He was always there for his mom and aunts, being “Johnny on the spot” for anything that they needed help with. He enjoyed watching TV and movies, especially westerns and sports. Football was his favorite sport to watch. He passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 27th at home. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his mother, Clara Iverson of Glenwood; brothers, Randy (Sandy Weber) Iverson of Dayton, MN and David (Becky) Iverson of Faribault, MN; aunts, Carole Cantwell and Marion Carsten both of Glenwood; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Arnie Iverson; brothers, Jim and Ron; grandparents; uncle, LeRoy Razink and aunt, Kathleen Razink.
