Kengdi Li, age 75 of Glenwood, died April 27, 2023 at Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota. Private family services were held. Kengdi will be brought back for burial in China. Arrangements were with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.
Kengdi Li, the son of Yuan Tai Li and Lian Mei Huang, was born July 18, 1947 in Fujian, China. Kengdi was the third of five children born to the couple. He grew up in a small village by the river and was a fisherman in Fuzhou, China with his family for over 40 years. He was united in marriage to Yilan Li in 1971 in China. In 2014, Kengdi’s daughter helped him and his wife move to the United States. The couple moved to Glenwood where they helped operate the China Panda restaurant. Kengdi enjoyed playing mahjong meeting up with his friends. He will be remembered for being a hard worker, raising a great family and the care he showed towards his family. Kengdi especially supported the education and growth of his children. He wished for each of his children to find success and he helped them to reach that success even after his retirement. He was a hard worker up until his last breath.
Kengdi is survived by his wife, Yilan Li, of Glenwood; two sons, Bin Li and Feng Li; two daughters, Xiufeng Li and Xiuzhen Li; 10 grandchildren, Wei Li, Daniel Lin, Brian Li, Xi Li, Daisy Lin, Barry Li, Tong Li, Grayson Li, Danica Lin and Cambria Li; two sisters, Zhen Zhu Li & Zhu Mei Li, two brothers, Yikeng Li & Zuyu Li; Yixian Yang; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Yikeng Li and Zhen Zhu Li.
