Kristina Lynn Guderjahn, age 51, of Alexandria, MN died Monday, August 14, 2023, at the University of Minnesota Fairview Medical Center in Minneapolis. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home of Glenwood.

Kristina Lynn Guderjahn was born on September 30, 1971, in Minneapolis, MN, to parents Gary and Bette (Anderson) Guderjahn. She grew up in Minneapolis along with her younger brother, Mearl. Kris attended Roosevelt High School and graduated with the Class of 1992.

Kris met her fiancé, Dan Miller, in March of 2006. They made their home in Alexandria, where Kris worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Knute Nelson and Windmill Ponds. It was through work that she met her best friend, Donna.

Kris enjoyed doing needlework and loved her cats. Family was important to Kris and she enjoyed a special relationship with her aunt, Patty. Dan was Kris’ forever fishing and camping buddy and, through thick and thin, they were each other’s rock.

Kris was plagued with chronic health challenges for most of her adult life. She died on Monday, August 14, 2023, at the University of Minnesota Fairview Medical Center, surrounded by family.

Kris is survived by her fiancé, Dan Miller of Alexandria; her mother, Bette (Richard) Morey of Glenwood; father, Gary (Ginger) Guderjahn of Hewitt; brother, Mearl (Sarah) Guderjahn; half-brothers, Justin (Angelica) Guderjahn and Wyatt (Jessica) Guderjahn; stepsister, Stacy Morey; stepbrothers, Brad (Cindy) Morey and Mike (Chey) Morey; maternal grandmother, Helen Guderjahn; along with aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Les Guderjahn; maternal grandparents, Donna Pederson and Norbert Anderson; and an uncle, Frank Anderson.
