A memorial service celebrating Nancy's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2024 at the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in the Fron Lutheran Cemetery next year. Arrangements are with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.

Nancy Ann Weston was born on November 7, 1967, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was the middle child of three children born to Arnold and Shirley Dengerud of Brooklyn Park. Nancy lived in the cities and was baptized into the Lutheran faith in New London, Minnesota. After her parents divorced, Nancy moved with her mother and brothers to Starbuck. In Starbuck, her mom married David Danielson who became a loving and supportive step-father. Nancy was a member of Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck where she was confirmed. A proud graduate of Starbuck High School, Nancy's high school years were filled with activities that showcased her creative talents. She played volleyball, played saxophone in the school band, and graced the stage in school plays. Her peers recognized her charm and grace when they crowned her prom queen in 1986. Following high school, Nancy pursued her passion for beauty and aesthetics at St. Cloud Beauty College, where she earned her cosmetology license, much to the delight of her brothers who enjoyed her free haircuts.

Nancy had an avid love for the music industry, often immersing herself in her favorite artists' albums. She was also a movie enthusiast, with an impressive knowledge of famous actors and actresses, as well as their lifestyles. Her intellectual curiosity extended to the medical field, where she astonished professionals with her deep understanding of various injuries and diseases.

Nancy's professional journey led her back to the Twin Cities, where she took on various office roles. However, it was during this time that she began to face the challenges of depression, anxiety, and diabetes. Despite these struggles, Nancy's resilience shone through, as she continuously fought to maintain her health and well-being.

An unfortunate slip on ice led to a back injury that interrupted Nancy's promising career as an account manager for Mosaic. The resulting pain and subsequent dependence on painkillers took a toll on her ability to work consistently and affected her quality of life. Yet, through these trials, her thoughtful demeanor remained a constant comfort to those around her. She died December 21, 2024 at her home.

She is survived by her brothers, David Dengerud of Starbuck and Steven (Julie) Dengerud of Grove City; niece, Shelby, and nephews, Grant, Brooks, and Drew Dengerud.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Shirley Danielson and Arnold Dengerud.
