Paul Elliott Obituary

Paul Elliott, age 70 of rural Villard, died unexpectedly at home Tuesday, June 29, 2021. There will be no services at this. 

Paul Frank Elliott, the second of four children born to Cecil and Emily (Tobert) Elliott was born September 10, 1950 in Glenwood, Minnesota. He was raised on the family farm and attended the Methodist Church in Villard. He received 12 years of public education at Villard Public School, graduating in 1968. Paul attended college at Moorhead State College and received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1972. Paul continued his education at the University of Wisconsin in Madison where he received a Master’s Degree in radiation physics.

After college, Paul began his working career at the Hines VA hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He later moved to Lutheran Hospital in Moline, Illinois. The years in Moline were some of his most enjoyable years in his working career. Paul finished his working career at Rice Hospital in Willmar, Minnesota.

Paul loved motorcycles and riding. He made many cross country trips. On one of these trips he was a part of a group that set motorcycle land speed records at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. Paul will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication to the hospitals he worked at, the cancer patients he came in contact with, and his unique Christmas gifts.

Paul is survived by his brothers: Stephen Arthur Elliott and Robert Ezra (Maureen) Elliott, both of Villard; nephews, Brent Elliott, Bob Olson, Mike Elliott, Rob Elliott II, Ron Elliott; and one niece, Erin Elliott; other relatives and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Ronald Edward Elliott.
