Robert Leo Eisel Jr. was born March 13, 1962 in Virginia, Minnesota to Robert and Beverly (LeMay) Eisel. He was baptized in the Catholic faith. Robert grew up on a family farm near Donnelly for most of his life, where he completed elementary school and attended Morris High School. During high school he worked at the greenhouse, one of his favorite jobs. After high school he worked on scrap metal work. Robert attended Wadena Technical College and graduated with an automotive specialist and mechanics/welding degrees. He worked as a factory worker and did janitor/housekeeping work throughout the years.
Robert enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and hunting. He especially liked fishing and a trip to the lake or river was a favorite pastime of his. Robert always had a quiet smile and a thankful spirit. He looked for the bright side no matter what life brought him. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Robert died December 29, 2024 at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.
He is survived by his siblings: Molly (Steve) Woodke, Gerald (Melada) Eisel, Bonnie (Rick) Melchert, and Elaine (Doug) Stave; a niece and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; Robert Sr. and Beverly, step-mother, Dorothy and brother, Jack Eisel.
A private family memorial service will be held for Robert.
