Tyler Kubesh Obituary

Tyler Kubesh, age 31 of Eagan died very unexpectedly on Sunday, April 12, 2026 in Norwood. A Memorial Service Celebrating Tyler's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 23rd at the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are with the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood.

Tyler Wayne Kubesh was born on January 5, 1995, in Olivia, MN, the son of Craig and Pamela (Mullinax) Kubesh. The youngest of three children, he grew up on the family farm near Olivia, where he developed a strong work ethic, appreciation for nature, and love of family that remained with him throughout his life. Growing up, he and his family attended the Assembly of God church in Willmar, and his Christian faith was an important part of who he was. Tyler carried himself with a spirit that was both adventurous and thoughtful, and those who knew him best will remember him as a spirited young man with a kind heart and a generous smile.

Tyler attended school in Olivia, part of the BOLD School District, and graduated in 2013. He continued his education at Inver Hills Community College, where he graduated at the top of his class with a degree in Computer Technology and Cyber Security. Tyler took great pride in his education and in the opportunities, it created for him. He brought intelligence and dedication to every part of his life.

Following his schooling, Tyler made his home in Eagan and worked for eight years at Total Expert, a financial services software company in the Twin Cities. He was respected by those who worked with him and valued for his reliability, his sharp mind, and his steady presence. Tyler approached his work with professionalism and commitment, and he was proud to be part of a field that reflected his talents and interests.

Outside of work, Tyler enjoyed a life filled with simple pleasures and meaningful connections. He loved to travel, spend time with his very close friends, go camping, listen to music and watch movies. He also loved spending time with his pets and treasured the time he spent at his parents’ lake home, especially when he could enjoy water sports with his nieces and nephews, whom he adored. These moments brought him great joy, and they reflected the warmth and playfulness that made him so beloved.

Tyler will be remembered for his zest for life, his sense of humor, his kindness, his laughter, his great smile, and his compassion for those less fortunate. He gave great hugs and was never shy about showing love to his family. He had a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature and God’s creation, and he found meaning in the world around him. His presence brought comfort and joy to others, and his memory will remain a blessing to all who knew him.

Tyler is survived by his parents, Craig and Pam of Glenwood; his sister, Amber (Adam) Hagre; and his brother, Nathan (Molly) Kubesh. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Caden and Lucas Danner, Kane Hagre, Nevaeh, Ben, Sarah, and Lincoln Kubesh, along with two uncles, Doug Kubesh and Todd (Jayne) Mullinax, as well as other relatives and many friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, TW and Shirley Mullinax and Ben and Shirley Kubesh; his aunts, Nancy Haney, Jean Lingl, and Carolyn Kubesh; and his uncle, Robert Kubesh.

Though his time on earth was far too short, Tyler’s life was filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories that those who love him will forever treasure.
